Terms of Use

Welcome to Dehay Family Moments ("the app", "the service"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you cannot use the service.

Dehay Family Moments is a private, invite-only platform for families that lets you share photos, videos, posts, messages and events with family members you invite yourself. Access is granted only through invitation links from existing members.

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.
• You are responsible for the content you publish and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
• You must provide accurate information when you register.
• An account is personal and cannot be shared with anyone else.
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect that your account has been compromised, by emailing [email protected].

You agree not to:

• Post illegal, hateful, threatening or sexually explicit content
• Harass, bully or threaten other users
• Share content that infringes other people's copyright or privacy
• Attempt to bypass security, scrape data or hack the service
• Use the service for commercial purposes or advertising without written consent

We reserve the right to remove content, temporarily suspend an account while we investigate possible abuse, or permanently disable accounts that break these rules.

Family groups are managed by members with the admin role. Content you share in a family group is visible to all active members of that group. Think carefully about what you share, and respect the privacy of other family members — especially when you add information about people who do not have their own account (for example grandparents or deceased relatives).

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion has a 30-day grace period — if you sign in again within that period you can restore the account. After 30 days all of your data is permanently removed from our production systems and cannot be recovered. Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis within our normal backup cycle.

We may temporarily suspend an account while we investigate possible abuse, or permanently close accounts that repeatedly breach these terms. In the case of permanent closure you will normally be notified by email.

You keep the rights to the content you upload. By publishing content, you grant us a non-exclusive, time-limited licence to store, display and distribute the content to other members of your family groups, solely so that we can provide the service. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

You can report content or users that break these terms. We review reports manually and may remove content or suspend accounts where necessary.

The service is free for personal use. We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future — any such features will always be optional and clearly labelled before you purchase them.

The service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that the service will always be available or error-free. We are not liable for loss of data beyond what the law requires.

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including power outages, third-party server failures, cyber attacks or government orders.

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes shall be settled by the Norwegian courts, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes is considered acceptance of the new terms.
