What Dehay collects, why it's collected, and how it's protected — matching what you'll see on the App Store and Google Play.

Our data promises

Encrypted in transit

All data between the app and our servers is sent over HTTPS/TLS.

Encrypted at rest

Content is stored on encrypted infrastructure (Supabase, Cloudflare R2).

No selling of data

We never sell your personal information to third parties.

Labelled ads, not family content as targeting

Google ads in the feed and D-hay are marked “Ad”. Posts, photos and chat are not sent to Google. No ads under 13. Ages 13 to 17 see non-personalised ads only.

Data we collect

We collect what is needed to run the app safely. We do not sell data to brokers. Adults (18+) may see labelled Google ads in the feed and D-hay; see the Privacy Policy.

    Name, email, date of birth, gender, country
    Account, family group membership, age-appropriate experience
  • User content
    Posts, photos, videos, family tree data, chat messages, events
    Provide the core family experience — shared only with your family group
  • App activity
    In-app interactions, feature usage
    Improve stability, safety and product quality
  • Diagnostics
    Crash logs, performance data
    Detect and fix bugs
  • Advertising (18+)
    Technical data for Google AdMob (e.g. device/advertising ID, IP). Not posts, photos or chat.
    Show labelled native ads in the feed and D-hay, after consent where required

Phone permissions

Dehay only asks for a permission the first time you use a feature that needs it. You can revoke any permission from your phone settings.

Camera

Take photos and short videos to post to your family.

Photos / Media

Upload existing photos and videos from your device.

Notifications

Alert you about new posts, chat messages and events.

Microphone

Record audio for D-hay videos and voice messages.
